There are many people who are graduating from college and are having a hard time finding employment. The problem is that the jobs are not available and there are not many people that are not hiring. Due to the current difficult economic times, more people are going to trade school versus college as the trades are providing more employment versus office jobs. For example, an electrician liverpool just has to do an apprenticeship to learn their position instead of sitting in a class room where they are being lecture to all day.
Theory is an important part of learning a trade but it is mostly on the job learning versus sitting in a class room and being lectured to. An apprenticeship in a trade like electrical or heating and air conditioning can mean the difference between getting a job and staying unemployed. Once a person is doing an apprenticeship and meeting other people within their respective trade industry, the better the chance they have to network and apply for a job after their apprenticeship is over.
Most apprenticeships actually take a few years, about the same time as getting a college education. The difference is, at the end of either experience the apprenticeship candidate will most likely find a job in their field versus the person who graduated from college with a degree. Fifteen years ago it was very common for parents to encourage their children to go to college versus a trade school, it is interesting to see how those circumstances have changed dramatically.
Before you decide to go to either trade school or college, you should make sure you are happy, as you are going to have to live in that industry for a while, either choose you make. Being happy is more important than getting up each day just to earn a paycheck and being miserable.
